SKINCARE Skinnyscrubs; Perfect Peppermint and Majestic lipscrub

Hi Unicorns!

A few weeks ago I received a package from Skinny scrubs, with two lip scrubs from their range. I received the Majestic and the Perfect Peppermint lip scrub. They contacted me to send the scrubs for free so I can review both scrubs. And I’d love to. I really do. And come on, you can’t say no to some good lip care right?! So lets dive in to both of the scrubs!! Which are cruelty free!

I begin with the Perfect Peppermint scrub. First I need to point out the packaging, it’s very cute and simple but that makes it so classy. It’s a jar with a ribbon, and every ribbon is different for every product they make! It’s 3 ml full of edible lip scrub. Which is to me the perfect size, not too much and not just a little bit. And you read it right, it’s edible! And to me that’s a bigggg factor. If I buy a lip scrub I want it to be an edible one. I’m very clumsy so even when I buy a non edible one, it comes into my mouth.. Back to the scrub itself, I’m comparing with the lush lip scrubs now. Perfect Peppermint is way rougher than every lush scrub that I experienced. I think that’s because Skinny scrubs uses bigger pieces of sugar than Lush does. I like that, it gives you the feeling that it works more. I also like that this scrub leaves a kinda of a 'lip balm effect' on your lips. Your lips shine and it feels very soft. But I can’t explain the lip balm effect; it really really feels like you’ve put that immediately on your lips after you’ve eaten it up;) I have never experienced that with a Lush scrub though. But the taste of the scrub is not that strong, not as strong as a Lush scrub. It’s very subtle. If you lick the perfect peppermint off your lips, it tastes like you’ve eaten a tiny peppermint. It really tastes like it!

The ingredients: coconut oil, white sugar, peppermint essential oil.

Now the Majestic one aka the unicorn scrub!! When I heard they had a unicorn scrub I was immediately sold. I had to try that out! So this one is with al different pastel colors and also with a unicorn ribbon. It’s the same size as the perfect peppermint but the scent and the taste is different. This one is really citrusy and tastes like lemon. I prefer this kinda scrubs especially in summer. At first the scent was kinda overwhelming to me, because in the beginning it smelled like citronella.. The scent was sooo strong unlike the Perfect Peppermint. The taste was also subtile, but to be honest I'm not really a fan of this scent. Lemonny things never have been a fav for me. But I think that's personal. Some like it and some don't. And If I don't like something very much I still gotta be honest with you. That's what reviews are for ;)

Sooo I prefer Perfect Peppermint! This one is sooo nice, the Majestic is also great but lemonny things aren’t really my thing. Besides Lush’s lip scrubs I know have found this company which is also great! I’m a huge fan:) one dislike is that you can’t use the products longer than 3 months. I’ll never finish 3 ml in three months, and I find it quite sad to waste products and just throw it away. But again it’s homemade and I’m sure they’re using fresh ingredients so it makes sense. Compared to Lush: their products have a more extended expiration date. But oh well it’s not the end of the world right?! ;)

Pros:

• Size is perfect

• Rough pieces (rougher than Lush)

• Perfect Peppermint has a very nice scent + taste

• Cute packaging

• The price is doable

• Duration: 10

• Worth it?: yes, I think it's a good company for scrubs and more skincare.

Would I recommend these products?

Perfect Peppermint for sure, but I don't know if I would buy Majestic again. The quality of both scrubs are great but the scent from Majestic is a bit too overwhelming for me. What I love love LOVE is that the scrubs are cruelty free!!!!!
